Under the general direction of the Assistant Secretary Treasurer or designate, provides procurement expertise related to the acquisition of goods, materials and services for the School District. This includes assessing needs, working with end users to create detailed specifications, using a variety of competitive bidding methods and negotiating single source contracts. The position ensures that purchasing decisions are defensible, ethical and the best overall value to the School District.

The Cascadia Chapter Annual General Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 30th. Last night at our March event, as part of Purchasing Month, Cindy Seymour, SCMP, President, Cascadia Chapter presented Ken Babich, CPPO with an award in recognition of his dedication and contributions to the success of Cascadia Chapter. John Braybrook, CPPB and Vice President, Cascadia Chapter highlighted Ken’s contributions which include being one of the original founders of the Chapter, as well as starting Chapters in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
